Do you clean gutters in Silver Lake, IN? Yes. Silver Lake is our home base, so we are close by, and quotes are free and fast.
Gutters have one job: carry water away from your house. Once they pack with maple seeds, wet leaves and shingle grit, the water quits going where you want it. It runs over the front edge, down the fascia and into the ground right against your foundation. We clear them by hand and prove every downspout runs before we load up. Elite Softwash is the crew behind 300+ five star Google reviews, a Better Business Bureau A+ rating, and more than 3,000 properties cleaned across northern Indiana.
We Live Here, Not Two Counties Over
Our shop sits in Silver Lake, ZIP 46982, which puts us minutes from most of Kosciusko County. Small town, big old trees. Those trees shade the roof and drop a load into the troughs every fall, and the ones on the north side keep everything damp long after a rain. We drive past these houses every day.
What Full Gutters Do To A House
Standing water is heavy. It pulls hangers and spikes loose and rots the fascia board hiding behind the gutter. In a northern Indiana winter that water freezes, thaws and freezes again until seams split and ice backs up along the roof edge. Overflow also splashes soil onto your siding and soaks the ground at the foundation. The cleaning is the cheap part.
How We Clean Gutters
Debris comes out of the trough by hand and goes in a bag, not in your flower beds. Then we flush each downspout and watch the water come out the bottom. If one is plugged, we clear it and test it again.
- Ladders set carefully so we do not mar the siding or gutter face
- Troughs cleared by hand, debris hauled away
- Every downspout flushed and checked for flow
- Splash areas and walkways rinsed before we leave
Why Do My Gutters Still Look Dirty After A Rain?
Those black stripes running down the face of a white gutter are not loose dirt. That is oxidation and road film bonded to the aluminum, and rain will not touch it. We brighten the faces with professional, biodegradable cleaning solutions and low pressure, the same soft wash method we use on siding. Cleaning the inside and brightening the outside are two different jobs, and you can get both in one visit. Read more about soft washing.
One Trip For The Whole Property
Most folks here add gutters to a house wash or roof cleaning. The ladders and hoses are already up, so bundling costs less than booking each service by itself. We also handle window cleaning, pressure washing for drives and sidewalks, and commercial power washing.

Silver Lake Gutter Cleaning Questions We Get
How much does gutter cleaning cost in Silver Lake, IN?
It depends on the size of the house, how many stories, the length of gutter and how packed they are. We quote from photos or a quick look, so you get a real number without a sales call. Adding gutters to a house wash or roof cleaning in the same visit costs less than booking them separately.
Who cleans gutters near me in Silver Lake?
We do. Elite Softwash is based right here in Silver Lake, ZIP 46982, so we are minutes from most of Kosciusko County. That means short drives, easy scheduling and a crew that can come back if something needs attention.
When should gutters be cleaned in northern Indiana?
Late fall, once the leaves have finished dropping, is the big one. Spring is worth it too if maples, pines or oaks hang over the roof. If water sheets over the front edge in a storm or seedlings sprout in the trough, do not wait for a season.
Do you clean the downspouts too?
Yes. Clearing the trough and leaving a plugged spout solves nothing. We flush every downspout and watch water run out the bottom before we call the job done.
Why are my gutters still streaked after cleaning?
Cleaning the inside does not touch the outside. Those black stripes are bonded oxidation, and they come off with a low pressure brightening using biodegradable cleaning solutions.
Do you clean gutters on commercial buildings?
We do. Banks, manufacturers, apartment communities and country clubs are on our list, and we schedule the work around your business hours so nobody trips over a ladder during the day.
